Precast building units (PBU) was established by Brian Morris in 1987 with the intention of developing and producing precast building components for the construction industry. Our initial direction was purchasing and installing Grinaker Precast material (blocks and concrete planks).

Brian’s brother Geoff joined in 1990 and with new enthusiasm PBU ventured into manufacturing their own material. This proved to be extremely successful and the business grew to its current size making us the largest manufacturer of prestressed beam and block slabs in Kwa-Zulu Natal

Over the years, PBU has produced many precast products but has predominantly focused on producing prestressed beam and blocking decking.

PBU is a medium sized business with sufficient flexibility to respond to the needs of both large and small projects.
